Syncing Across Devices

Backup/export over 2 OS?

Are the backups and exports compatible between iOS and Android? I.e. can I take the iOS export and put on my Android and have it import? 2 use cases to argue to make them compatible: changing device ecosystems if one got a new phone or tablet, and maybe even reading off 2 devices: android phone + iPad, read on phone in the morning, auto backup to Dropbox or other cloud-enhanced local storage, pick up iPad at night, resume reading (import if needed?) from where you left off in the morning.

Emmanuel Yeow syncing across devices will not be available for the initial launch but is planned for a future version.

DC: Any idea about the same feature on the Recovery Version app ;)

Emmanuel Yeow: The best would be for you to contact the RcV app support for that request. Thanks!

I can't test, as I only have android beta

Isaac Lin Please feel free to test this out to see if the export from one platform works well to import to the other platform, and to report back here! At this stage backup is only to local device storage, but that is a great suggestion for syncing with cloud storage to allow for the scenario you described. Thanks!

SL: with release to both app stores, I have tried it. While I can download an export file to Google Drive and OneDrive on my Android device, I cannot sync to either service for "constant"/auto backup. From the app on iOS, I cannot auto backup to the interoperable cloud services but only local device and icloud (other 3 options greyed out).
I was able to import from OneDrive in a manual operation, but the authentication part with Google Drive didn't work on my phone so I wasn't able to download the copy from there (12 mini, running V 1.1/1433).
As expected, schedules didn't port over, I'll need to re-create them on my iOS phone.
